Adhoc Payouts and Deductions

Payments made during the monthly payroll can broadly be divided into two categories. Based on what is defined in the salary structure or adhoc payments which are not defined in salary structure. Adhoc payments can be made directly while running payroll, refer to the article on Payroll Process - Step 2 for more details. There also is an option to create a payout / deduction plan based on which adhoc payouts / deductions can be made on a periodic basis, it is covered in this article.

Menu Path : Payroll > Employee Details > Employee - Salary Structure > Payouts and Deductions tab
Accessible to : Payroll Manager

On this tab you can create payment or deduction to be done in future on a periodic basis. There are three types of heads you can add
1. Joining Bonus payout - this is a system defined head and using this you can pay the joining bonus in a certain number of months from the month of joining
2. Other payouts - you can schedule other payouts on a periodic basis. you will need to specify the Amount, Frequency and From Month. To Month is optional
3. Deductions - you can schedule periodic deductions

If salary approval process is activated then changes on this tab will need to be approved. These payments / deductions will be done automatically in the payroll and will be visible on the salary slip, salary register.
