Creating Performance Improvement Plan
Quick Access : Others > Initiate PIP
Accessible to : As per setup
Managers can create a Performance Improvement Plan for their direct reportees.
This is done for employees who are lagging behind in some key areas. The PIP
helps to bring in focus specific areas of concern with actionable goals.
To create a PIP follow the steps given below -
1. Click on Initiate PIP on the quick access menu as shown below
2. In the popup select the name of the employee for which you want to create
the PIP
3. Fill up the Area of Concern, Expectation and Goals for the employee. You can
update more than one section. Click on Save to save on section.
4. Click on Submit to release the Performance Improvement Plan
5. If an additional step of PIP approval is enabled then on submission the PIP
will go for approval to Performance Manager and will be released to employee
only after it is approved by the Performance Manager. Performance Manager can
also reject the PIP in which case you will be notified and you can see the reason
for rejection.
Note - if allowed in setup then PIP can also be created by Performance Manager, HR Manager or HR Executive.
