Setting up Performance Improvement Plan

Menu Path : Setup > HR Setup > Performance > Performance Improvement Plan tab
Accessible to : Application Administrator

Performance Improvement Plan is used to create a structured review mechanism for employees who are lagging behind. From this page the parameters for PIP can be setup.


The parameters which can be defined in PIP setup are -

- PIP initiation and editing by : by default the rights for PIP initiation and editing are given to the Manager, these rights can be additionally given to HR Manager or Performance Manager
- PIP approval : if a PIP is created by Manager then it can be sent for approval to Performance Manager before it is released by enabling this parameter. Performance Manager can reject the PIP or can release it after modifying it.
- PIP duration : PIP can be for a duration of 1 to 12 months OR 1 to 365 days
- Allow employees to modify goals : if enabled then employees will have the option to update the Goals given to them by their managers

Type of Review : in this table you can define the types of reviews which you have in your company.
