Tracking employee location through mobile app
Managers and other authorized persons can see the location of their team members
and also the route they have covered during the day through the mobile app. Refer
to the article on Tracking location of employees for more details.
To see team's location details go Team section and open the location tab.
1. Location Tab > Summary View
If this tab is not visible then this feature has not been enabled for your company
or you do not have the required permissions. On this tab you will see a list of employees who have Basic or Advanced location tracking enabled as on today.
Managers would be able to see the last updated location and the date / time when that location was captured. If the method is Advanced and if the employee has not enabled location tracking then against location "Not Enabled" is shown.
If you tap on the employee record you will be navigated to the Employee Location page.
2. Employee Location > Detailed View
Through
this page you can see the current location on the map (if updated today) and
also see the route map for the day (for today and past days). If Field Force
Management module is activated then you can also see the employee Timeline.
Current Location
You
can see employee's current location if he has enabled GPS on his phone and if
advanced location tracking is enabled for him.
Route Map
You can also see the route covered during the day.
You can see the details of location tracking in Attendance > Location Tracking
report.
