Candidate Background Verification

Candidate Background Verification

Background verification can be carried out internally or with the help of a third party background verification agency. Steps to be followed are -

1. Select the stage as "Background Check" as shown below

The status will be shown as Interviewed on top of the page but as Pending on the table where each stage status is shown.

2a. If the background verification is to be done internally select the option "Internally done"

In this case in one step you can update the background check comments and select the final recommendation from "Background Check OK" or "Background Check Failed"

2b. If you have third party agencies from whom you would like to get the background check done then select the radio button "Through third party" and select the Agency name from the dropdown. If you do not find the agency name in the dropdown please get in touch with your Application Administrator and he will be able to add it in Setup.

You will be able to see the email of Agency to which the BGV request will be sent. You can provide the detailed inputs with respect to the scope of BGV or any other instructions.

Click on "Send Email" button to send the request email to the Agency. You can resend the email or cancel this assignment and reassign to another agency if there are issues / delays from this agency.

3. Agency will receive an email with an action button as shown below.

He can see the candidate profile but cannot make any changes to it. He can fill up the background verification comments and also update any supporting documents. He needs to select his final recommendation before submitting the record.

4. Feedback by Agency - Agency would be able to fill up a form and upload the supporting documents. Agency will be able to see the data in following tabs of candidate record - Candidate Profile, Others, Family Details.

5. Final updation by Recruiter - Once the third party background verification agency updates the status as Background Check OK, the Recruiter would get an alert but he would still have to reconfirm the status in the system. While checking the feedback from the agency he can see the uploaded documents and feedback given by the agency.
