Editing calendars

Editing a calendar is done to add / remove holidays - this can be done both from past and future dates.

Click on "Edit Future" or "Edit Past" depending upon what details you want to change. For both the scenarios of making changes in a calendar from a past or a future date the points mentioned below are applied.

1. Adding a holiday
If we add a new holiday from past or future, if there are leaves, work from home or tour requests submitted for that day which have "Holiday counted = Yes", then these requests are withdrawn. In the remarks section "Withdrawn due to addition of holiday on dd/mmm/yyyy." is added.

After the requests are withdrawn the day's status is updated as Present of Absent (if no time stamps are available) or Pending (if only In time stamp is available).

2. Removing a holiday
If we remove a holiday from past or future, if there are leaves, work from home or tour requests submitted for that day, then these requests are withdrawn. In the remarks section "Withdrawn due to removal of holiday on dd/mmm/yyyy." is added.

Additionally, when we remove a holiday from a past date the day's status is updated as Present of Absent (if no time stamps are available) or Pending (if only In time stamp is available).


After submitting an alert will go to impacted user informing of the withdrawal.

Note - History of calendar changes are not stored and if employees are added to the system with a past date of joining and the calendar on the date of joining had different set of holidays then what is there now, the holidays which are currently defined in the calendar will be mapped to the employee.
