Setting up birthday leave
If you activate the Birthday leave feature all the employees of your company
will automatically get a leave on their birthday. Employees cannot withdraw this
leave or take it on any other day. This leave does not have an approval workflow.

Accessible to : Application Administrator
Activate the birthday leave feature as shown above and then edit the draft entry
Leave table to modify this leave as per your requirement.
The following parameters can be selected
1. Effective date - from which date you want this leave to be available. The
effective data can be only from future
2. Accrual to be done - xx - days in advance - this parameter controls how many
days in advance, maximum value is 15
3. Eligibility criteria - you can define an eligibility criteria to map this
leave to a select group of employees. Criteria once created cannot be changed.
An alert will come xx days before the birthday unless the birthday falls on a
weekly off or a compulsory holiday. Since the birthday is blocked for the birthday
leave in this scenario the employees will not be able to take any other leave
on their birthday to prevent a potential data conflict.
If you want to deactivate this leave you can do so by selecting "Birthday leave
feature" as No. Existing leaves which have been accruedwill remain as it is but
new leaves after the accrual window will not be given.
