Simple Probation Management Process

As an HR Manager you can update the status of any employee who is On Probation by editing his / her HR details. System will also send an alert as a reminder after the probation period gets over. The probation period is maintained in setup by Application Administrator.

Steps to follow -

1. HR Manager > Employee Details - click on "Update" button for the employee whose record you want to update
2. System will navigate you to the employee's profile page, go to Official Details section and click on the edit icon as shown below


3. On the popup which opens up, click on Employment Status hyperlink as shown below


4. A second popup shown below will come up


In this popup fill up the confirmation data in the From Date field in the second row and select the status as "Working", click on Save on the row and then Submit at the bottom of popup. What status is visible in the drop-down will depend upon the "Employee Type" and also what are the previous status.

Note -
1. If the probation status is used in leave criteria and employee has been credited with some leaves and subsequently his status is changed to Working from his date of joining or any date in past the leaves which have been accrued or consumed will not be changed. Accrual of new leaves will be stopped.
