Key Behavior Assessment

Key Behavior Assessment

As a part of Performance Management cycle employees can be evaluated on a set of Key Behaviors which are linked to their Job Category. The evaluation is done on a scale of 0-5 and for each Job Category the desired behavior level is predefined against which the evaluation is done.

To use this feature within PMS follow these steps -

1. Enable Job Category field in HRIS - refer to the article on "HRIS Setup" for more details

2. Update Job Categories for all employees - refer to the article on "Editing Profile details" for more inputs

3. Update the Desired Behavior Level for each Job Category across all Key Behavior dimensions - refer to the article on "Setting up Key Behavior Assessment"

4. Include the KBA feature in the performance plan. Refer article on "Creating Performance Plans" for details. When KBA feature is being included in a plan then system will check and ensure that desired behavior level for all job categories is updated in KBA setup

5. Once KBA feature is included the following will be the impact on the performance review work flow
a) When a cycle (which has KBA feature) is being released for goal setting you will have to ensure that for all the employees included in the cycle a job category is mapped
b) Each employee needs to be mapped to a job category and the desired behavior levels setup in KBA will be shown to them when the performance sheet is released to them during the goal setting process. No changes can be made to the Job category of an employee if he is mapped to a performance cycle and the annual review stage for the cycle has been released. Job category can be changed till annual stage is not released and can be changed after results for the cycle are released
c) When annuals stage is released for a cycle for any employee the desired behavior level data will be copied from setup to the cycle and any changes to the setup data will not impact the cycle from this point onwards. Upto this point changes to KBA setup data will be transferred to cycle
