Short Leave

Short Leave

Short leave can be taken by an employee for 2 hours (quarter day) or 4 hours (half day) as per company policy. This leave is accrued on a monthly basis and unclaimed leave is not carried forward to next month. This leave cannot be encashed.

Accessible to : All Employees


  1. Select the date on which Short Leave is to be taken. The date can be in past or future for a period of 30 days (period as defined in Setup)
  2. If Quarter day leave is taken then 0.25 is deducted from monthly leave balance, if Half day leave is taken then 0.5 is deducted
  3. Leave will go for approval as per the approval workflow selected in Setup
Note : Workflow for consumption of Short Leave is similar to leave approval with initiator / approver and exception approver. Withdrawal is also managed similarly.
