EazeWork Feature Update - July and August 2024

Production Server Updation Date - 27 August 2024

1. HRIS
  1. Probation confirmation process has been significantly enhanced. You can now design multiple probation templates and have different probation workflows for different group of employees. Refer to the article on Probation Setup and Probation Overview for more details
2. Leave management
  1. A new leave basis has been added - "Six Monthly" this will enable you to design leaves with accrual which can be done on a six monthly basis
3. Attendance management
  1. In Tour workflow option has been given to Travel Desk to return the tour request back to the initiator. This can be used by the Travel Desk if the ticket / accommodation cost is coming more than the budgetary approval taken by the employee. Employee can submit for a re-approval. Travel Desk role has also been added to the Tour initiator and approver list and can be selected in setup for these activities. 4. Advance and Expense management
  1. Enable multiple claim types parameter can now be activated at any point of time. Once you enable this parameter you can define multiple claim types in setup and define workflows for each claim type
  2. Accountant, Travel Desk and Manager's Manager roles have been added to expense approver and verifier workflows
  3. Manager's Manager role has been added to advance workflow 
5. India Payroll
  1. Changes in new regime tax slabs and standard deduction with effect from 1st April 2024 have been implemented. For employees who are continuing in the company, system will automatically correct their TDS calculation from August payroll. For employees who's full and final has been processed, if you want to correct the tax calculations you will have to reset the full and final and process again. Refer to the document on Old Regime and New Regime for the latest tax slabs
  2. Tax free limit under Section 80CCD(2) has been increased from 10% of wages to 14% for employees option for New Regime 
  3. Salary register format customization was available in a limited manner and it was available in two places - Review Output page which was accessible to only Payroll Manager and Setup > Common Setup > Access Control and Report Design page which was accessible to Application Administrator. The feature to customize salary register format is now move to Setup > Payroll Setup > Company Setup > Formats tab and is accessible to only Payroll Manager. Refer to the document on Customizing Formats for more details 
  4. If NPS Employer contribution is being deposited then a fixed monthly NPS charge can be deducted from employee's salary. This can be modelled in setup by Application Administrator. Refer document on National Pension Scheme for more details.
  5. Some of the CTC components can be modelled as a part of Gross salary and shown in the salary slip as a earning and deduction. 
  6. In the Month-Wise LWP Consumption report the head wise details of deduction can now be downloaded using the Export All Details option. Refer to the Report - Month Wise LWP Consumption for more details
