1. Resignation : this is the base process used when an employee submits a voluntary resignation.
2. Management initiated :
if employee is asked to leave due to poor performance or any other reason then
this option is used
3. Retirement : when employee completes the tenure and retires then this process is used
4. Death : separation due to death is handled separately
5. Intercompany transfers : if there are multiple group companies and employee is transferred from one
company to another then Intercompany Transfer process is used
Indicative work flow for a typical of separation process is given below. There
are four stages
1. Initiation – creation of a separation request
2. Approval – finalization of the last working day and approval of the request
3. Clearances – completion of various clearances in parallel
4. Closure – closure of the request
A separate workflow is used if separation request is withdrawn and the status is updated as Withdrawn.
Full and Final calculation is done in Payroll.
Notice period is applied only in case of Resignation in all the other methods of separation notice period is not applied. In case of Resignation employee's status changes to serving notice period when is separation is approved.
If an employee's separation has been approved and the last working has gone in
past then
- access of the employee to EazeHR is terminated
- all the work pending with the employee and the roles with the employee are
transferred to his manager. If manager is not defined than the work and role
are transferred to the Application Administrator.
System will not allow submission of a separation request by Application Administrator. Separation can be submitted only when the role is transferred
Employees or Approvers can withdraw a submitted separation request. Refer article
- "Separation withdrawal" for more details.
