Training Manager's Dashboard

Menu Path : Training > Dashboard
Accessible to : Training Manager

Training Manager can do the following activities from the Training Dashboard -
1. Schedule a new training
2. Editing a planned training
3. Cancelling a training
4. Adding a new training to the training master
5. Manually updating training enrollments
6. Uploading past training data in bulk
7. Closing a training
8. Seeking feedback on closed trainings
9. Issuing training certificates


1. Scheduling a new training

- To add a new training to the training calendar click on "Add Training" button. The popup shown below will open


- if you want to reuse an old training select "Copy From Old Training" else select "Create New". If you copy from old all the details of the old training will be copied and you will be able to modify as per your requirement.


 As shown above you need to provide the following details -

1. Details / Prerequisites : update what you feel is relevant as these are shown to the employee when he is registering for the training
2. Duration - duration can be Full Day, Part Day or Multiple Days, the options to select dates and start and end times will be shown accordingly.

Note - training time is based on the timezone of the Training Manager, if employee is in another timezone the system will automatically convert the time to his/her timezone.
3. Venue - update the venue where training will be conducted
4. Trainers - select the trainers, these can be external or internal. Names of trainers can be updated by the Application Administrator in Training setup
5. Cost - Cost of training is a compulsory field for an external training and optional for internal trainings
6. Release list - you can define the set of employees to which the training is to be released by selecting one of the following options
- All : all employees will be eligible for the training
- Eligibility criteria : you can define an eligibility criteria like "Department = Sales" to select employees belonging to a group as eligible for the training. Refer to the article on Managing leave eligibility criteria to understand how to create a eligibility criteria
- List : this option will allow you to manually select a set of employees from the superset
You can also select the check box "Only if in Training plan" to limit the eligibility to only those employees who have this training in this training plan.
7. Nomination - you can decide who would nominate the employee for the training, it could be Manager, CEO, employee or you. If you select any of the first three options an alert will go to the nominator  informing him of the release and requesting him for registration
8. Last date of registration - this is the date by which registrations are allowed
9. Training capacity - this is the total number of seats / vacancies in the training
10. Waiting list - this is the number of employees who can be kept on waiting list
11. Seat allocation - this can be by Training manager in which case the registrations will be confirmed by the Training manager or can be by on a First come first serve basis in which case the first 4 registrations (as per the example shown here) will get confirmed and the 5th registration will be wait listed
12. Upload document - documents can be uploaded, these documents are send to employees with the training registration request

2. Editing/Rescheduling a training
To edit a released training just use the Edit button on the training record on Training Home page. After training has been released but not started all the details except the "Release To" and "To be Nominated by" can be changed.
Whenever any of these details are changed a new notification will go to the group which is responsible for nominating employees and to the nominated / confirmed participants. Participant can also view updated details from My Profile > Training tab. These changes can be done till training has not been closed.

3. Cancelling a training
Training Managers can cancel a released training completely, this can be done at any time as long as the training has not been closed. Alerts will go to confirmed and wait-listed employees.

4. Adding a new training to training master
If you do not find a training in the training master and want to add it just click on the "Update Masters" button on the top right. Click on the drop-down next to Add Training button to see this option.


- Click on "Add New Training" button at the bottom of the table


- You will be able to add  new training to the masters by providing the details as shown above

5. Manually updating training enrollments
Although the system allows the employees to self enroll or the manager's can nominate the employees but if needed Training Manager can also update the enrollment list. Refer to the article on Managing enrollments for more details.

6. Uploading past training data in bulk
