There are two parts of the leave setup page.
In this section the overall parameters can be setup
1. Leave upload done by - this parameter is used to identify who will be able
to upload leaves in bulk using an excel file, it can be done by either Manager,
HR Manager or HR Executive. Refer to this article on Bulk upload of leaves for more details
2. Leave home / Leave record page access - through this parameter you can control the access
of leave home / leave record page
3. Enable Birthday Leave - this feature is explained in detail in Birthday leave setup article
4. Enable Maternity leave for India - this parameter is only visible for Indian
companies, if this is enabled system defined leaves as per the Maternity Benefit
Act of India are created in draft - refer article on Maternity Leave for and overview and Maternity group leave setup for setting up these leaves
5. Enable Compensatory Off - if this parameter is enabled, then you have to select the type of Compensatory Off i:e Single Step / Two Step - refer article Single Step Compensatory Setup and Two Step Compensatory Setup.
6. Display leave balance after rounding - if this parameter is enabled then the
leave balance on leave home page is rounded off. The rounding works based on
the logic explained below -
a) If leave balance is 10.95 and rounding parameter is No then -10.95 (actual
balance) will show
b) If leave balance is 10.95 and rounding parameter is Yes then -
- If in leave setup Partial Day Allowed
is No then balance will show - 10
- If in leave setup Partial Day Allowed is Yes
for 0.25 days then balance will show - 10.75
- If in leave setup Partial Day Allowed is Yes
for Half days then balance will show - 10.50
- If in leave setup Partial Day Allowed is Yes
for 0.75 days then balance will show - 10.75
- If in leave setup Partial Day Allowed is Yes
for all days then balance will show - 10.75
- If in leave setup Partial Day Allowed is Yes
for 0.25 and half days then balance will show - 10.75
7. On Withdrawal Comments By Initiator Compulsory - If this feature is enable comments will mandatory on leave withdrawal
In this section you can
1. Create and manage different types of leaves - use the "Create New Leave Type"
button to create a new leave, use the Edit option to edit an existing leave type
2. Click on "Download Setup Data" button to get data of all leaves in an excel
format
3. Edit leaves to modify the parameters which can be modified
4. Delete / Deactivate active leaves
