Production Server Updation Date - 15 April 2026

1. Changes linked to Income Tax rules 2026
  1. Tax free Meal voucher : exemption limit has been increased from ₹50 to ₹200 per meal
  2. Tax free Gift limit : exemption limit has been increased from ₹5000 to ₹15000 per annum
  3. Children Education Allowance : exemption limit increased from ₹100 to ₹3000 per month per child
  4. Children Hostel Allowance : exemption limit increased from ₹300 to ₹9000 per month per child
  5. Perquisite value
    1. Exemption limit for perquisite value of motor car and driver has been increased 
    2. The perquisite value of unfurnished company accommodation has been changed - refer article on Managing Perquisite Components of Salary for more details
2. Changes linked to new labor laws
  1. For employees on Old Regime who have declared house rent; it has to be declared Landlord if the landlord is related to them. Refer to the article House Rent Declaration for more details
  2. If shift timings are not matching as per Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions Code, 2020 then a warning message will come shift is being created. Shift breaks cannot be edited once shift has been used. Refer article on Managing Shifts for more details. 
3. Other changes
  1. A default password policy will be applied for all companies. It can be enhanced by setting that old passwords cannot be used, increasing the mandatory length of password, types of attributes which need to be used and by preventing snoozing of password change reminder - refer article on Access and Password settings for more details. 
  2. Pages to view Advance and Expense records have been enhanced and made in line with the pages on the mobile app
  3. Profile picture can be made optional when updating and employee record if Comparing Selfie with Profile Pic feature is not enabled
