EazeWork Feature Update - June and July 2025

1. Overall
- HTML editor has been enhanced with a set of new features. Using the new editor you can now create better documents with embedded tables, images and more formatting options. These features can be used by HR team on Announcements, Policy Management and by the Application Administrator while creating documents or emails.
- The option to submit a Data Deletion request by Employees from EazeWork website is now available. The request will be taken after validating the employee's email of mobile and will be forwarded to the Application Administrator. Please refer to the article on Managing data deletion requests for more details.
- EazeWork's Privacy Policy, Information Security Policy, SaaS Subscription Terms and End User License Agreement (EULA) have been updated and posted on www.eazework.com. Acceptance of EULA has been added as a mandatory step for all old End Users in the browser application post login.
2. India Payroll module
- Feature to divide the role of Payroll Manager across multiple users on the basis of Office Location is now available. Additionally more activities have been included in the set of activities which can be mapped across different roles within payroll module. Refer to the article on Role mapping for more details
- Parameter "If no PAN then deduct tax at higher of 20% or slab rate" has been removed as the Income Tax rules are very clear that if an employee does not provide PAN then the tax is to be deducted at higher of applicable slab rate or 20%. System will now work as if this parameter value is Yes by default.
- An option to check if employee have a valid and operative PAN (section 206AA) and contractors have filed their ITR (section 206AB) is now available on the Income tax website. Please refer to the article on Tax deduction under section 206AA and 206AB for more details. There is a feature using which Payroll Managers can now download an excel file which can be uploaded on https://report.insight.gov.in and the status of 206AA / 206AB can be downloaded from the website. The downloaded file can be uploaded in EazeWork and the status of employees / contractors will be updated. Please note that if employee is falling under these sections then there will be higher tax deduction for them. Refer to the article on Bulk verification of 206AA / 206AB for more details.
- The tab which provided the feature to verify tax free heads which are being paid in salary and rent receipt being paid in salary has been moved from Payroll Manager > Update page to Payroll Manager > Tax Savings. This is being done to bring together all the pages where tax savings verification is being done in one place.
- If employees are included in ESI and they are on maternity leave then while running April or October payroll system will ask for a confirmation if they have to retained in ESI or moved out of ESI.
- The option to enroll in Atmanirbhar Bharat Rojgar Yojna (ABRY) is being removed from the system as this new enrollments in this scheme have been stopped.
- Format of Tax PDF which is downloaded by employees has been enhanced to show tax calculation by slabs
3. HRIS module
- Announcement feature has been enhanced, earlier image or text based announcements were two different categories and only one image was allowed per announcement. Now you can include up to 3 images of up to 5 MB in the announcement but the width cannot exceed 1024 pixels. Please note that the bigger sized images will cause the announcement size to increase which will have an impact on the loading time of the dashboard. To prevent delays in loading of the dashboard the announcement will not be shown by default on the dashboard if the size of the announcement exceeds 3 MB. - Minimum allowed between two locations has been reduced from 300 meters to 50 meters. This is being done to allow for creation of retail locations which are physically near but this feature has to be used carefully because if two locations are very near then attendance marking with geo fencing might not work properly
4. Onboarding and Separation module
- Till now while approving a separation request system was stopping if there was any leave request in approved status for date(s) after the proposed last working day. An enhancement has been done and while approving the separation request the list of future leaves which will be withdrawn will be shown and on confirmation these leaves will be withdrawn. Remarks "Request withdrawn due to separation approval" will be added to the leave request. If the request is overlapping the last working day then leaves after the last working day will be withdrawn by changing the to date in the leave request and a separate withdrawal request will be created.
