EazeWork Feature Update - January and February 2025

Production Server Updation Date - 25 February 2025

1. Overall
  1. Feature to customize alert text is being introduced. In this iteration it has been activated for some payroll alerts. Refer to the article on Manage Alerts
    for more details.
  2. The option to use a third party agency for background verification during hiring, onboarding or after an employee has joined is now available. To use this feature a BGV Agency license will have to be purchased. Refer to the article on Extending EazeWork to your Partners and Managing Agencies and Contractors, Managing Background Verification and BGV Updation by Agency for more details. 
  3. Remarks which are entered while creating a new request can now be made optional or mandatory from setup. This feature has been done for the following requests / forms - Leave, Attendance updation, Outdoor duty, Tour, Work from home, Advance, Expense, Asset, Job opening, Offer, Timesheet 
2. Attendance & Leave Module
  1. Custom fields can be now added to a Attendance Updation, Leave and Outdoor Duty request forms. Refer article on Custom fields on details of how to create and map these custom fields
  2. When a partial day Leave or Work From Home request is submitted the software will now also ask for the period for which this is being requested. The periods are based on the type of Leave / Work From Home being requested. Refer to the article on Partial Day Leaves for more details. Quarter day or 0.75 day Work From Home can be activated from Work From Home setup
  3. There is feature to now allow EazeWork HRMS to automatically create leave for missing attendance for an employee if the record is absent more than a certain number of days. Employee is sent a reminder email one day before the leave is created automatically. Refer to the article on  Leave deduction against attendance shortfall 
  4. When missing attendance is being updated from HR Manager > Attendance Reg > Pending Attendance tab or Attendance & Leave > Attendance Approvals > Missing Out-Time tab and on that date there is an approved partial day leave or work from home, so far system was updating the Shift time as the In and Out time and the breaks defined in shift as the breaks. Now system will update the Effective Start Time as In Time, Effective End Time as Out Time, the breaks will be still copied from the breaks defined in shift.     for more details. For Pending Attendance tab this feature will work for old records also but for Missing Out-Time tab this feature will work only for records created after this update
  5. Attendance setup page has been redesigned and parameters have been grouped in three tabs. Refer article on Attendance Setup for more details
3. Advance & Expense
  1. List of Tour requests available for mapping against Travel expense form can now be controlled through a setup parameter. Requests earlier than a certain date will be hidden. Refer article for more details. 
4. Payroll Module
  1. Office Location and Office Location State are two fields which will be stored for each month as payroll is run. The value is stored based on the following logic
    1. value which was there in the system on the day of Payroll confirmation if payroll is run before the last day of the month
    2. or the value which was there on the last day of the month if Payroll is confirmed after the month is over
  2. Value of fields some other fields - Salary Account Details / Department / Sub Department / Division / Sub Division / Employee Type / Employment Status / Level / Work Location / Work Location State will be stored and shown in Salary Register and some payroll reports as per value which was there in the system on the day of Payroll confirmation (even if payroll is run after the last day of the month)
  3. In case of Full and Final the value in fields like  - Office Location / Salary Account Details / Department / Sub Department / Division / Sub Division / Employee Type / Employment Status / Level / Work Location will be shown as per the value on the last working day of the employee
  4. Provisional Full and Final statement can now be emailed to the employee as soon as it is generated
5. Recruitment Module
  1. Background Verification process has been enhanced with the option to get background verification done from a third party agency through their portal is now available. Refer article on for more details
  2. Candidates who fail background check will now be shown in a separate column on Recruitment Dashboard
6. Mobile App Enhancements
  1. The option to submit resignation is now available
  2. Multi factor authentication can be enabled on mobile app too
  3. Profile, Leave, Work from home pages has been updated to include all the features which are available on the browser app
